This Cookie Policy explains how the KEEPMOMENTS store at keepmoments.us uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. We make bespoke memorial and keepsake jewelry, often for people who are remembering someone they have lost, and we treat your privacy with the same care we bring to that work. This policy stands on its own: it tells you what technologies we use, why we use them, and how you decide what runs on your device.

1. Who we are

The organization responsible for the data processed through cookies and similar technologies on this store is:

KEEP MOMENTS LTD, a private company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales, Companies House registration number 11909402.

  • Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, United Kingdom
  • Operational address: Wapienna 4A/2, 71-790 Szczecin, Poland
  • E-mail: [email protected]
  • Phone: +48 731 850 700

If you have any questions about how we use cookies or about your privacy, you can reach us at [email protected].

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our store. We also use similar technologies that can store or read information on or from your device, or that work together with cookies to recognize your browser. These include software development kits (SDKs), pixels and tags, local storage, and server-side event interfaces that achieve comparable purposes without relying only on your browser.

Some of these technologies are set by us directly (first-party); others are set by the providers whose services we use, such as analytics and advertising partners (third-party). Some last only for the length of your visit and are deleted when you close your browser (session); others remain on your device for a defined period so that we can recognize you on a return visit (persistent).

3. How we ask for your consent

When you first visit our store, we show our own consent banner, and we keep it available until you make a choice. Until you choose, non-essential cookies and technologies are blocked: by default, consent is set to denied through Google Consent Mode v2, so analytics and marketing technologies do not run before you allow them.

In the banner you can decide for each category separately - necessary, analytics, and marketing. Rejecting is as straightforward as accepting: a clearly visible "Reject all" option sits alongside "Accept all". Strictly necessary technologies do not require your consent and are always active, because the store cannot function without them. We record your choice as proof of your decision and remember it so that we can honor it on your next visit.

This banner is provided as a notice-and-choice mechanism so that you can decide what runs on your device. Your control over non-essential technologies is available at any time through the banner, as described in section 8.

4. The three cookie categories

We group the technologies we use into exactly three categories:

  1. Strictly necessary - always on. These are required for the store to function: maintaining your session, keeping your cart, security, even distribution of traffic, and remembering the consent choice you made. They do not require your consent.
  2. Analytics - only with your consent. These help us understand how the store is used so that we can improve it.
  3. Marketing - only with your consent. These are used to measure and improve our advertising and to show you relevant ads.

Every technology listed in the table below belongs to exactly one of these three categories.

5. Cookies and technologies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Name / tool Provider Purpose Type Representative lifetime
Session cookie KEEPMOMENTS (first-party) Maintain your session, cart, and basic store function First-party, browser Session (deleted when the browser closes)
Consent cookie KEEPMOMENTS / consent banner (first-party) Store your cookie consent choices so we can honor them First-party, browser 6-12 months
Security / load-balancing cookie KEEPMOMENTS / Cloudflare Security, fraud prevention, and even distribution of traffic First-party, browser Session to about 12 months

Analytics (consent required)

Name / tool Provider Purpose Type Representative lifetime
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Google Measure store usage, traffic, and performance to improve the store Third-party, browser _ga 2 years; _ga_<container> 2 years; _gid 24 hours
Google Tag Manager (GTM) Google Manage and deploy our analytics and marketing tags; GTM itself sets no tracking cookies but loads the tags below Third-party, tag manager n/a (no own tracking cookie); controls loading only, gated by consent
Microsoft Clarity Microsoft Session recording and heatmaps to understand how visitors use the store and improve usability Third-party, browser _clck 1 year; _clsk 1 day

Microsoft Clarity records interactions only with your consent, and it masks sensitive fields. Form fields, personal data, the text you enter for an engraving, and any content you upload are masked, so that the sensitive information you provide about a loved one is not captured in the recording. This masking is a fixed part of how the tool is configured.

Marketing (consent required)

Name / tool Provider Purpose Type Representative lifetime
Meta Pixel + Conversions API (CAPI) Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Measure ad performance, attribute conversions, and build audiences for our advertising Third-party, browser and server-side; identifying data is hashed; consent-gated _fbp 3 months; server-side events retained per Meta's policies
TikTok Pixel + Events API TikTok Measure ad performance, attribute conversions, and optimize our TikTok advertising Third-party, browser and server-side; identifying data is hashed; consent-gated _ttp about 13 months; server-side events retained per TikTok's policies
Google Ads (remarketing + conversion tag) Google Measure ad conversions and show relevant ads (remarketing) Third-party, browser Conversion and remarketing cookies typically up to 90 days; some Google advertising cookies up to about 2 years

6. Server-side events are still consent-based

Some conversion measurement also happens server-to-server, through the Meta Conversions API and the TikTok Events API. This server-side measurement runs only when you have given marketing consent, and identifying data, such as an e-mail address or a device identifier, is hashed before it is sent. If you withdraw marketing consent, both browser-side and server-side measurement stop for your future activity.

7. Signing in with Google or Facebook

Our store lets you log in or register using your Google or Facebook account. If you choose this option, we receive your e-mail address, your name, and an account identifier in order to create or match your account. This sign-in is also governed by Google's and Meta's own privacy terms. It is not itself a cookie, but we disclose it here for transparency. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

8. How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie-settings link in the footer of every page. From there you can reopen the consent settings and adjust any category. Rejecting non-essential technologies is as straightforward as accepting them. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings as a secondary route. When you withdraw consent, we stop the related processing going forward; information already collected is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not exchange your data for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that would count as a sale or share. Because there is no sale or sharing of your personal information, there is no separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" process and no Global Privacy Control sale-signal to honor. Your way to opt out of non-essential technologies is the cookie banner described above, which you can reopen at any time.

9. Consent records

We log your consent choices - the date and time, the categories you selected, and the version of this policy - so that we can demonstrate your consent and honor your choice on return visits. Keeping these records is also how we make sure the banner shows you the right state when you come back.

10. More information, your rights, and contact

For the full picture - all the recipients of your data, any international transfers, how long we keep information, and the rights you have over your data - please read our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy also explains your state privacy rights, including for residents of California and other states with applicable privacy laws, and how to exercise them.

If you have any question about cookies or your privacy, contact us at [email protected].

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The current version is always identified by the "Last updated" date shown at the top and at the bottom of this page. When we make a significant change, we will reflect it here.
