Star children, never forgotten and always in the heart.
This unique set of beads speaks of two children by the hand and one in the heart. Two of the beads, alongside decorative elements, hold strands of children's hair, representing the two children who are here. The third bead is the heart bead, and it contains a small thread drawn from a woollen hat. At birth, their daughter received that hat from her parents. Sadly, the little one had only eight days, eight days she was able to spend in this world and, above all, with her parents and siblings. Those eight days were at once the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking thing the family had ever known. The hat stayed with their daughter at her burial, so she would not be cold until she reached all the many other star children waiting for her.
A small thread, bound up with so many intense and tender memories. It is precisely this combination that makes the bracelet something of such profound and personal meaning.
